We have one of our Christmas trees up already
Thoughts in my head at no particular order:
1. I have a stomach ache from the tepid Mt. Dew I'm swilling
2. One of my toe nails is slowly removing itself from the skin. I'm giving it 3 more months to be gone.
3. Blade stores food and broken balloon pieces in his cheeks.
4. Anwen likes rats, spiders and crickets.
5. Adam has a wicked collection of Halloween hats.
6. I make hair clips while my kids are bathing.
7. The next door neighbor closes their window at the same exact time each night. 11:20pm
8. I use a 'toothpaste' that's actually greenish brown. It's a powder of crushed leaves.
9. I drink 64 oz of caffeinated soda a day. I know Mom, I know.
10. I've been plucking & shaping my eyebrows since age 10.
11. I have bald spots above my ears.
12. My earring holes face the ground. :( I can't wear diamond studs.
13. Adam just got home w/ fast food. Goodbye!

How to Make a Korker Bow

Preheat Oven to 275°

When it's dry "heat treat" the ends of the ribbon with fire to keep from fraying. The code words 'heat treat' and 'heat tempered' mean they were burned with a flame and/or baked in an oven.

Attach the ribbon to the top of the dowel with a clothespin or an alligator clip.
When you get to the end cut the ribbon if needed, burn the end and attach with another clothespin. When wrapping the ribbon around the dowel you can tighten it by pushing it up toward the top. It'll look like the image below.
Bake for 25 minutes at Preheated 275 degrees.
Spray them with hair spray AFTER they've cooled. Don't spray them BEFORE they go into the oven either. Hold the dowel to incorporate all the ribbon with hairspray. Let dry.
To have a 3.5" korker bow cut 3" pieces from the ribbon. To have a 3" bow cut the pieces to 2.5"
There will be some leftover pieces that aren't long enough. Let them go. Throw them away. They won't work.
Now is the tedious part where I start to ask myself why I didn't just pay someone to do this for me.
For best result each cut end needs to be melted to prevent fraying. If you don't want to do that for all 40-60 pieces then cut them on an angle, but some frays will sneak in after awhile if it's not melted.

Lay uncurled ribbon flat and pile all the korker ribbons on top.
I sometimes use two glasses to spaghettify them together.
Make a double knot first and then make a single knot on the other side. I put a dab of hot glue on the knot to seal it in and then cut the extra ribbon.
Glue to a ribbon lined alligator clip or a naked one.
Attach to a diaper cake or a baby.
